Ghost Cycle Retaliation?

So I was getting off the bus in Fremont around 1:45 today. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted a female with a red milwakee power screwdriver doing something to the ghost cycle at the main intersection in Fremont. She was attaching a sign on top of the “A cyclist was struck here” sign that says “A careless cyclist was struck here”.

After talking to a coworker about this, we decided to walk across the fremont bridge to see if the other near by ghost cycle has been changed and sure enough it has.

A project whose goal is to make everyone aware of the need to make roads safer for non-drivers has apparently gotten someone’s panties in bunch enough to retaliate.
