Double Tall Iced Mocha, Lite on the Chocolate

Riff and Melissa finally made it to New York. Riff got off his lazy ass to post some pictures and summary from the BBQ we had before they left.

This weekend Riff and Melissa leave for NYC.

So I went last night to say farewell to them and Riff’s band at the Funhouse. In usual form they rocked so hard my face melted.

With that I will leave you my favorite Riffisims:

• Ken: “How was work today Riff?

Riff: “Stupid” (emphasis on the “stu”)
lather, rinse and repeat. It never gets old I swear.

• Riff: “I ain’t gonna lie to you Ken… (insert any true statement here)”

• Ken: “Riff to be!”

Riff: “Kenji!”

Some may think of our banter as nonsense, I consider it an art of communicating so much more by saying so much less.

Ok, so my roomate (who finally moved in somewhat) is not a ninja. But be warned of what could happen when A Ninja Pays Half My Rent.

This reminds me of a Haiku my friend Matt wrote for me in the form of a Friendster testimonial (which Chase has pointed out, doesn’t meet the requirements for a “Haiku”) :

iced mocha double tall

light on the chocolate please

no need for a lid

It’s probably worth mentioning that my friend Matt has been in europe for the past two weeks and will be there for another two weeks, he has been updating his blog pretty regularly and there is some interesting stuff to read.

Andrea has the On The Double Dutch website up and running now. “On the double” is a double dutch jump rope team in Seattle. They are usually performing at First Thursday in Pioneer Square, and they also have a list of places they perform on the website.

Casey Halverson has a <a xhref=http://www.seattlewireless.net/~casey/ >blog</a> up with lots of interesting stuff on it.

So I get this email the otherday from a friend of mine from High School who since has gotten married, moved out here to Seattle then moved back to the east coast. The only problem is in the email he is describing how he and wife who are recently married cant wait to move out to Seattle. So a little digging in the mail headers reveals a massive time jump from Sept 26 2001 to when the email actually hit my mail server on Dec. 30 2003. My guess is that the message sat in his outbox (the mailer type is outlook) probably due to bunk smtp server settings and just recently got flushed.
